Yes, very disappointed in poor craftsmanship and other quality issues in 2018 Thor Outlaw Class C model 29J.

Stupid engineers

The engine battery is under the windshield without an access panel and the front tire has to be removed for access to it. The sewer compartment door is very small without a handle on it for easy opening. Also it is very difficult to attach the drainage tubing because it is so close to the bottom of the compartment and the tubing then has to go up and over the lip of the compartment which results in the tanks not emptying fully The underbed storage areas are inaccessible because the TV is mounted in a way that you can't lift the mattress more than 3 inches. Thanks for letting me share

Being ignored!

With any manufacturer there will be problems! Forget warranties, they are worthless! Inspect, Inspect, Inspect! Walk away if you have concerns at your walk through! Hire an inspector! I had 2 issues my Aspen Trail and have never heard from customer service.

Another Horror Show

We were in Texas on Business with our 2004 Winnebago Adventurer which was near pristine. The wife wanted a Diesel and we settled on a 2017 Thor Tuscany.

After a horrid wait on walk through getting things supposedly fixed, we finally set out to our spot to park. Slide problems and the rear bath plumbing exploded sending waste under the bed and everywhere. Went back the next morning and they fixed it...Blew up again that same night. We have had no less than 50 major issues with the unit including slide seals that will not stay on, and unbelievably a basement that is rotting out in less than 6 months because not a single door can seal from the weather.

They finally sued and Thor came and took it back to Elkhart 2 months ago to fix and we have not heard a word since. Camping World was a total Joke. No help from them at all, Everything they did was substandard.

Baby Dung and Bailing wire is all that holds this unit together. $247K Joke.

5TH FULL WALL SLIDE FAILURE

Have all the emails with Thor reps from 2015 to present. Have all repair invoices from 2015 through present.Mentioned getting legal advice and got thrown under the bus with YOUR OUT OF WARRANTY!

Really? We were out of warranty for previous fixes by THOR on this problem.

Guess when you try to protect yourself, they are done with you!So here we go. States Attorney General for NC/IN/SD - done.Waiting on a consultation with a Consumer Protection Attorney.

Purchased 2014 Thor Palazzo Motor Coach 33.2, in Feb 2014, Camping World, Spartanburg, SC. To date, the full wall slide out has failed FIVE (5) times since purchase! And it fails the same way every time! 1. Fixed Camping World, Chattanooga TN - Mar 2015 2. Fixed Thor Factory - Wakarusa, IN - Oct 2015 3. Fixed Thor Factory - Wakarusa, IN - Oct 2016 4. Fixed Camping World - New Braunfuls, TX - Dec-2017 to Jan-2018 We are now in Chesterfield, VA and the slide out has failed again! The full wall slide is out and will not retract. Contacted the Factory Service Center. They won't do anything, not send a rep, nothing until WE get the slide in and get it to a repair facility AT OUR EXPENSE, AGAIN! At what point does a repair stop being the consumers fault and is called a factory defect! Five (5) times failed/repaired for the same issue. Coach has approx 22000 miles in 4 yours. We have been "strung" along by Thor Ind. pass the warranty, pass any lemon laws both state and federal. We have contacted lawyers and no one will even write letters on our behalf because they won't make any money on a case!

I have a 2014 Hurricane 34j with full wall slide. The slide was repaired before the MH was 12 month old.

Now, 5 years later the schwintek system has failed again.

It cost $1500.00 each time its repaired. It's only a matter of before Thor will face some large class action lawsuits due to poor design, cheap material, and terrible workmanship.

We feel your pain! Thor has quality issues covering every inch of their RV's!

Slides, Steps, Leveling Jacks and over cab beds especially because Lippert Components are unreliable and prone to continuous failure! Please post your review on Yelp /Thor Motor Coach , Elkhart, IN! Read all the reviews.

There is a review giving 60minutes email and physical address. Thor future buyers need to be informed.

I met a gal who had a brand new Thor at a campground in AZ. She has a list of sixteen items, some big and some smaller.

Customer service has been terrible both from the manufacturer and from the dealer she bought it from.

I was shocked to hear of what they have put her through with no resolution. I would not buy this product!

Got home extended the slider, ran water in the sink, water all over the floor. They way the hooked up the hose to the connection to the gray tank looked like it was done by children. You could tell it happened before as there was glue on the fittings. Must be a union company. The hookup to drain your tanks to sewer my god. You have to leave the door open as the didn't line up the removable cover underneath with the pipe. For a brand new 2019 Thor Forwinds 31Y there was saw dust everywhere. Camping World in Roseville, Ca is just as bad. If I was Ford Motor Company I would never allow another Thor product to be put on my units.

Same issues with my 2018 Gemini, definitely put together with child labor, glue everywhere ,inside and out, they went nuts with a glue gun and caulking, missed most of the joints on the roof! After picking the unit up, the cabinet door under the sink fell off, slide messes up all the time, interior light cover fell off , water heater sucks Etc, etc etc,

Of course they are not a union company otherwise the work would have been done right. Your union comment shows your ignorance about the trades. You deserve a Thor:)

Disappointed

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
We stopped to look at new Thor Freedom Elites at Camping World in Houghton lake Michigan and after driving 200 miles with hopes of buying one, we were quickly turned off by the poor workmanship and materials. The first thing we noticed was what we thought was a tiled backsplash over the stove and sink was merely a decal and both were bubbled up and peeling free from the wall! These are brand new motorhomes! I thought, if this is what they do in the areas I see everyday, what kind of shoddy work lies beneath? My next question was, why would they not fix this at the dealership and leave it for everyone to see? This is when our long, short- lived trip ended and we sadly left for a long ride home.

Thor produces one type of quality product, cheap materials, fast assembly, out the door and on to the next one. Anyone that owns one will not be a repeat customer.

The warrantee finally runs out, but the fixing things goes on and on for as long as you own it. How can anything stay together with 50 gal. of water, 40 gal. of gas, whatever is in the holding tank, 500 lbs.

of food, two dogs, and all the stuff you can fit underneath, going 70 miles an hour on American highways. Within 15 years you can expect to fix everything. Seriously, I mean for real. And somethings a couple of times.

It falls apart going down the road. Fact, *** stinks.

Bought Thor Hurricane 34F, only had physical position of it for 53 days out of 300 days because it has been sitting at Camping World for warranty repairs.

Our lost summer

We purchased a 2018 Thor ACE 27.1 on June 15th. We took our first trip on the 17th.

It turned into a disaster. The first voyage in anything new will turn up a few issues. Ours were more than a few all instigated by poor quality control and product from the factory. First, our steering wheel was 20 degrees or more out of alignment.

After we returned from our trip we found that this caused the front end to our of alignment possibly compromising $1,000 worth of front tires. We experience their new technology in refrigerators - inverter run with now propane backup. This piece of junk quit on us in the middle of the night result in our having to dismantle the lower access from the closet to reach the inverter. Nowhere in the coach or firg literature is there anything stating that an auxiliary power source must be on all the time to keep the monstrous 2 six volt batteries charged.

Oh, and there is no latch or lock on the door of the frig which means if anything of weight is in the door it flies open on a turn and smashes into the closet handle resulting in a wonderful crease in the door. The is unbelievable. This piece of junk does not belong in a RV. The door won't stay closed in transit.

The topper was the toilet. It continually plugged and clogged. For some reason the design does not allow for a sufficient amount of water to flush resulting in a very *** mess which only can be undone with a long brush. How much fun is that?

After contacting the manufacturer in Indiana with pictures of the damage of the frig door, I was promised that the frig door would be fixed. It was admitted that the latch was not put on at the factory (which I find out will not fix the problem). I was also told the fix for the steering wheel is a simple one. It was not.

The coach had to go to a Ford dealership with the tools to adjust the chassis, straighten the wheel and align the front end. The closest dealership to us with the tools was over 50 miles away although there are more that 5 within 20 miles. After being told that the frig door would be fixed by the factory, the dealer informed us that this was denied and that the dealership would cover it. We have had other issues with broken drawer locks, broken cabinet latches, blinds that were off track and wouldn't work, a TV antenna *** that did not turn.

To put all of this into perspective we have not had use of our coach since the 3rd week of June. It has been at the dealership waiting for parts. I was told that I probably would not get it back until the end of August. I am writing this now on August 22nd with the 29th the dealership's goal.

This whole experience has been outrageous and criminal. I have filed complaints with the Consumer Protection Agency at both the dealership and the Thor. I got the dealership's attention and they have been working hard to help. All of this was caused by faulty and poor workmanship from Thor.

Why is God's earth would a manufacturer send a coach out of their facility knowing the steering and alignment were off. Now it has over 3,500 miles on it with over 2,500 being put on it just coming from the factory. My wife and I are angry and frustrated. We bought this new coach for our Newfoundland believe it or not.

He is crippled and this will probably be our last summer with him. Now it's gone thanks to Thor. We will never recommend a Thor product to anyone, and we will do our best to communicate this out to the world. We would like to be compensated for 2 RV payments since we were unable to use it due to Thor's lack of quality control.

And we would also like to be compensated for 2 new front tires if it turns out they have been compromised due to a faulty alignment. It doesn't take much.

Peeling bench seats

Thor Industries - Peeling bench seats

We have a 2015 Thor Freedom Elite. This has hardly been, used.

Bench seats are peeling. They says we are out of warranty.

They need to stand behind their product even when a few years old. Shame on them for selling cheap product from what I see by complaints they knew of this problem long before we bought out RV.

Problems

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Hi, we have a 2014 Super C Four Winds. We have a few problems that have come up. Molding is coming down, flooring is coming up, shower door latch came off. The stairs sank down and fell off. The storage on the driver's side fell through. The bench to the breakfast table broke. The light covers in the front by the door and the back have come off. The toilets seat is coming off. These are cosmetic issues that you would have thought they would fix in newer models. Also our couch is pealing or coming up. We were in Elkhart and went to the Thor factory, took a tour and the young man giving us the tour didn't know anything. Never got to look at final product Worst tour EVER ! Sorry to complain but these are issues that should not have been. I hope someone contacts us as we are upset with the craftsmanship of your RV. Continuous problems with new hurricane 2018 made by Thor. Purchased at Camping World RV Sales-Tampa

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

We purchased our new RV in July . We brought a new 2018 Hurricane which cost over 100,000 dollars model number 1F65F5DY4HOA14371.

We continue to have problems with it constantly. Now it is in our driveway unable to drive because the bed will not rise up due to broken motor. We live in a deed restricted neighborhood and we are receiving letters to get it out of driveway. When we called Camping World they told us to hire someone to come out to the house and fix it and they would repay us.

Then told us after that to take it to a place which we do not know to fix it. This is not acceptable. Besides this serious problem we have brought our RV into camping world to get things fixed several times. Problems with defected blinds, draws, lighting, front seats, cupboards, sink, wall paper defects, outlets, coating on outside of RV and more problems.

I consider this RV a lemon with all the grief we are going through. This is a time in our life that we wanted to travel and take our grandchildren to different states. But we are afraid to go anywhere because of all these serious problems. And the worse part is now we cannot even enjoy it because it does not work.

The question now is do we get a replacement, one that works . I want to know if you stand behind your product? Very unhappy campers. Mr and Mrs.

Worst experience

We traded a 10 yr old Winnie on a new 2016 Thor Windsport. I wish we would have read some reviews first.

It is by far the cheapest poorly constructed product I have ever purchased. The list of items that work on this coach is very small. Actually the ford v-10 engine is the only thing in the coach worth money and about the only thing that works. I think we are a bit in shock a company could sell a product that is so worthless.

I believe Thor should pay us for even trying to travel in this piece of crap. Our ten yr old Winnie was twice the coach this Thor could ever hope to be. So now we are trying to sell this pile of junk and of course we are going to lose around 30 thousand dollars in the process. We are having problems finding a dealer who even have Thor junk on their lots.

So buyers be careful!

DO NOT BUY A THOR A PRODUCT

If you do, be prepared to stay in hotels while it is getting fixed. Like us you could end up crawling out windows because the door quite functioning.

Hi, same problem with a 2018 Gemini, falling apart like a cheap suit , very poorly put together , and no help from Thor! I gave up and am fixing things myself, Ford customer care sucks also !

Camping world i Hampton Roads Va, poor service also, mostly in the sales dept. Just sayin!

Bought a class c THOR 32 ft. motorhome.

Had a leak in roof because of poor workmanship. THOR refused to fix because it was calking that had separated and was not laid down thick enough. Representative said there is only a 90 day on calking. What a joke, had it 6 months before it rained and I should be responsible for the poor install.

Nothing in warranty booklet said anything about 90 days. Don't buy a THOR Product if you want quality service.

THOR Do Not Stand By Their Warranties Nor Keep Their Word!!,

Traded in my 2012 THOR in Feb 2017 for a brand new 2017 THOR ACE at the Seattle RV show through Sunset RV and there my nightmare began. I was told after signing papers that I could take delivery of my coach the following week from the dealership but this date was continually postponed by them due to warranty issues. After 3 months of this I got permission to have the RV transferred to another service center as the dealership had a staff walkout and closed their service center leaving new owners in the lurch. My brand new RV sat on 2 service lots for a total of 15 months before I took delivery of it at all with an extensive list of warranty issues that appeared daily. Door out of alignment causing door to fly open in the locked position when staff drove the RV. Door and locks eventually had to be replaced but still had issues so they shaved part of the doorframe but still has issues. Awning jammed at one end and had to be repaired 3 times. Failed electronic bed twice, screws missing and gouges out of wood panels and only staples holding things together and half out, stereo and backup cameras failed, water pump failed and improperly installed, pipes under sink improperly installed all had to be replaced, 3 outdated TVs installed that do not have QAM tuners to handle cable, the main toilet pipe has a severe bend right below the trap so nothing can go past the pipes to the black tank where it burps air and sewage back up into the bathroom floor and the list goes on. During this time THOR customer service apologized and reassured me that once everything was resolved they would make right for this 15 month delay but as soon as I picked up the RV just over 15 months later THOR went back on their word, removed the person who was handling my case and had a verbal thug tell me that there was no way THOR was going to do a thing, that I was tough out of luck. I do believe that they had no intentions of keeping their word and allowed this delay to continue until my warranty expired as many other customers have experienced the exact same response. It was clear that my RV was never fully inspected at the factory so I had to pay a further $600 to have a full inspection done for my own peace of mind and the dealerships said they are sick and tired dealing with poor quality workmanship at THOR where they are left to clean their mess up and customers suffer lengthy waiting periods. My husband had passed away and that was my only reason for trading in my first RV for this new THOR. I was never able to take possession of my RV for a single day in 15 long and stressful months and they get away with this while I paid for RV storage, RV payments, Tax and Insurance for 15 months with no delivery and I trusted them and followed everything they told me to do not knowing it was nothing but a stalling tactic to let them off the hook. There are hundreds of complaints against THOR on many RV websites that are building and something needs to be done to regulate what is going on! I will be reporting this now to the Attorney Generals Office and calling an Attorney to file suit against them as I have given them multiple opportunities to make right on what I have had to endure!
